What do you think of the Cable knit Dynamic Textured Impressions
Embossing Folder (page 13) in the Holiday Catty?
I have to tell you, I was on the fence about it… but WOW,
is it cool! It leaves a nice deep impression and looks a lot like the
real thing… it’s perfect for this White Sweater Box!
How totally fun is this?!
You can leave it open, as done here… or close it up with the
ribbon wrapped from top to bottom instead. Either way, it’s a great
way to hand out some Christmas cheer this season!
Here it’s paired with one of the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes (AC),
what a cute combo!
This little box is filled with cinnamon candies and tied with Real Red
Stitched Edge Ribbon…wouldn’t these look great lined up down the
center of your Christmas dinner table?!
Or, use them as the markers for your seating arrangement!
Add some name tags and place one at each place setting…then
each of your guests could take one home.
The base for the White Sweater Box comes from the White Gift
Boxes on page 7 of the Holiday Catalog. They come with an
acetate sleeve, but it isn’t used for this project (it’s just too tight
of a fit with the extra layers on the outside of the box). They are
also food safe..you can place your cookies etc. right in the box!
The boxes are already made, just fold them into shape and
simply cut out Whisper White (thick) squares to fit the sides
and top (no bottom) of the box. These were cut just a sliver
past three inches, but you should measure your box to
Run the cut squares through the Big Shot using the Cable Knit
folder and adhere them to the box (liquid glue was used here).
TIP: Make sure you leave a sliver of space where the back and
top meet, don’t smash the paper right up to the back edge. You
need a little room so the top can open and close properly.
Real Red really brings a pop of color to this box..so cheerful!
The Christmas greeting (Holly Jolly Layers) is stamped and cut
out separately… the finish on the box is a little slick so some of
the stamping may smear…just be aware.
I hate to be wasteful so I’m looking for a way to use the acetate
sleeve that came with the box. Maybe an ornament or even a
small box hanging inside of it.
