This card has gotten somewhat mixed reviews from the people I’ve shown it to! Not a whole lot of love going on here! That’s okay, I’ll admit it’s not for everyone. Still, like it or not, it has a couple of good ideas you could use for your own projects. Take a look and see what you think.
Stamp Of The Month: Daydream Medallions #3
The layout of this card is pretty simple and with a few changes here and there it could be used in a lot of ways! I bet it would make a great shaker card! Hmm…
If you look closely, you can see that the same embossing folder was used in two different ways! The first way is to use it for it’s intended purpose of dry embossing. Secondly, it’s used for a bit of an ink technique (it has a name which escapes me at the moment). You take an ink pad and rub ink on one side of the embossing folder. Then press a piece of card stock down on top of the ink and rub it lightly with your hand (don’t run it through the Big Shot). When you lift it up, you get the ink impression from the folder. That’s how the little polka dots behind the butterfly were made! It’s a fun technique and it’s easy!
Leave me a comment… Like it? Don’t like it? What do you think? I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks for stopping by today!
