Saturday Post: Just Ink it!

It’s Saturday, Yeah!

How are you spending your weekend?  I’m painting my shed purple, and of course trying to get in as much “therapy” as I can!

I love going in my craft room and just doing whatever comes to mind, it’s my escape or “therapy” as I tell my husband.  Of course, this usually involves ink and a BIG fat mess!  Sometimes I come out with great pieces to use in my work, and sometimes…well, it’s just not working for me.  This time, I got a little bit of both!

Aren’t these fun!

Just Ink It!

These are all done with the new in-colors and embossing folders!

Oops! There’s one in there made with Crumb Cake, the rest are Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow.

Kind of messy, but a ton of fun!

No two come out the same, they each have their own little personalities!

Each of these will find their way onto a card or get used in some other fun project as is. I just have to decide which one to use first!

Even though this next group didn’t make my favorites, they will still make their way onto my cards or projects. After some tearing, punching, inking or distressing of some kind, they would be great for butterflies, backgrounds or tags, whatever!  They’re great for little pieces here and there to fill in.. Run them through an embossing folder, tear them up, add a little ink and use them as embellishments. At the very least, turn them over and stamp on the other side!  Most of the time you can turn something you’re not that happy with into something you can use to give your cards that little extra “kick”.

I got a little too much water on a few of these, it’s a fine line between not enough and too much!

As a result they came out a little muddy and some of the paper is too warped to work with. That just means I’ll have to practice so I’ll get better at it!  More therapy!

Enjoy!…Karen
