Jungle Love!…PPA288

Hello my fellow stampers!

How many of you remember the song Jungle Love?  I hadn’t really thought about it
for a long, long time, but it just popped into my head when I tried to think of what to call
this card…of course, now I cant’ get it out of my head…it’s making me crazy, crazy (get it?).

Jungle Love!...PPA288 Sketch Challenge www.inkersworkshop.com

I like the idea of making the strip off to the side look like an old rickety
bridge, like one you might find out in the middle of the jungle (at least in the
movies). This paper has a tropical feel, so I thought it made sense…it’s kind
of like walking across it and looking down at everything below.

At first I stamped the slats of the bridge, cutting them out of Mossy Meadow.
They blended in too much, and were barely noticeable, then I remembered the
wood grained paper from the Farmer’s Market DSP, and tried it out…success!
. My husband says it looks like a row of signs someone hung out, but I’m
sticking with an old bridge, what do you think…a bridge or an old sign?

Either way, this card has Jungle Love written all over it!

    • Thanks for your comment PJ! This is a pretty busy card so I was hoping the general idea wouldn’t get lost in the crowd. I took a quick peek at your blog, I love the squirrels on there today!

    • Thanks Rae! I don’t know why that song popped into my head, but it’s there to stay, at least until the next one takes over. Glad to know I’m not alone with the crazy!

  1. What a unique and creative twist to make the rickety bridge! Very clever, Karen! And like everyone else, I also have that song stuck in my head…Thanks for playing with the Sketch Team at Pals Paper Arts this week!

  2. Oh my gosh…I GOT IT IMMEDIATELY and I loved it! Way to go in thinking out of the box. Great take on the sketch and thanks for going down memory lane!
