It’s Coffee Time!

Good Morning, Stampers!

It’s Saturday and it’s time for crafting, but most of all…it’s time for coffee!

How many of you need a good jolt of caffeine before getting your day going?

Well, I can’t sip the good stuff with you this morning, but I can share a card
dedicated to our favorite cup of Joe!

It's Coffee Time- made with Timeless Textures and Cups & Kettles Framelits 2016

This cup (from the Cups & Kettle Framelits) reminds me of those old
coffee cups from the diners back in the day.  My mom had a friend that
worked at Woolworth’s when I was little, and we would go there to have
lunch and visit with her. Red (her nickname) would always serve my hot
chocolate in one of these mugs. A fun memory brought to life by these
Framelits. Now, of course when I see one, I think it’s coffee time instead.

What about that background paper…I love the look of the handwritten word,
don’t you? Imagine someone sitting at a desk or table with their morning coffee
jotting a short letter to a loved one far away, something rarely seen today, but
once was a way of life for many. While this paper can’t take the place of
someone’s handwritten words, it’s a great shortcut for this card, and gives a
nod to a time when people lived to get a note or letter from someone in the mail.

I love the (and eat cookies) part, so cute, who could resist an invitation like this?

NOT ME!

    • Hi, Cory! Those great circle marks (and the straight distress marks) were made using the Timeless Textures stamp set and some Early Espresso ink… aren’t they fun! You can vary the look by stamping off some of the color on a scrap before stamping on your project, then you will get variations of color in your circles and it looks like you set your cup down several times. This stamp set is still available in the current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog…it comes in wood mount (Item #140514) and clear mount (Item #140517), it’s on page 120. I hope that helps…glad to know you like the card! Also, if you don’t have the current Stampin’ Up! catalog, I’d be happy to send you one for free, just send me your name and address, and I’ll get one out to you. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and thanks for your question! Have a fabulous day!
