Golden Wreath

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I can’t believe that the first week of September is already gone!  Where does the time go?

Today I’m sharing yet another card with gold in it!  I know…I’m hooked!  I just can’t seem to get too far from the shiny stuff! It just keeps pulling me back in!

I didn’t get many Christmas decorations up last year and I think that may lead to overload this year!  I’m thinking that my wallet could take a serious hit if I start seeing anything gold in the way of tree ornaments out there this year!  This year seems to be all about the gold!

Golden Wreath

At first I just embossed the little holly berries on with Cherry Cobbler, but they didn’t really come to life. So, I used my blendabilities to add a little color to some rhinestones, and as soon as I put them on the wreath, the whole thing just popped!  Woot!  This turned out to be a great color combo for this wreath!

What do you think of a black and gold Christmas card?  I’ll admit, it’s a little different, but I love it!

Leave me a little feedback and let me know your thoughts.

Enjoy!…Karen

    • Thanks for your comment Suz! This was a fun card to make (once I found the framelits…LOL!) I think I will have to buy some more gold paper because I’m sure I will use this color combo again. I’m really happy with the results!

      Happy Stamping!

  1. I LOVE it! So much so that I think I will be CASE-ing it using a Christmas ornament in lieu of the wreath. Hope it turns out as beautifully as yours did!

    • Hi Jeanie, when I made this card I was planning on hand delivering it to someone special on my list. I wasn’t really concerned with how it would go through the mail at the time. That being said, I know in the past when I send out something with rhinestones on it, I place an extra piece of card stock over the gems to help cushion them en route. You could also make a special envelope for it or purchase a padded version from the post office if you wanted to spend the extra for that. This probably isn’t a card you would want to send out to a huge list of people, that would be costly! However, you could always replace the rhinestones with something flat that would allow them to travel through the mail safely. 🙂

Got something to say? Leave me a comment...I'd like that!
