There are Acorns A Plenty around here…
first in a cable knit thank you card, and then copper acorns adorn some
really cute little treat boxes!
Saying thank you is a big deal…and it’s even better when it’s handmade!
These goodies are being sent out to the people at the doctor’s office where
I went for my hip therapy three days a week for the last few months. They
always had a smile on their faces and a warm welcome for anyone coming
through the door…and I am truly grateful I found them!
Don’t you just love the look of the cable knit on this card?

The leaves are colored with a sponge dauber and ink, but markers were
used on the stems and the baby acorn. Don’t the leaves look great with
this acorn? They are the leaves from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set,
which has been around for…like forever, and now you have an excuse to
get it out and use it with something new…yay!
To get the distressed look on the acorn, it’s a matter of bad stamping!
That’s right, just make sure you don’t ink up your stamp very well, or
maybe even remove a bit of ink. Here, the stamp didn’t take on the ink
and a big splotch was left open, so it made the perfect distressed acorn!
A happy accident!
Acorns A Plenty! A trio of treat boxes filled with nuts…
Copper embossed paper from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty
Designer Series Paper collection wrap around these cute little boxes,
making a nice treat for someone special…just tie them up with some
Burlap Ribbon for a finishing touch.
Love the look? Here’s the Stampin’ UP! video.
