Swirly Scribbles Friendship Card

Hey stampers…
A fun way to get the most from your stamps is to mix and match.
You can get great, original results… like the card I’m sharing today,
by using a combination of techniques.

A fun water color background in Peekaboo Peach is striking against the
black spotted paper from the Playful Palette DSP Pack…the contrast really
makes everything else pop!

Another layer of spots is stamped onto the background (Painter’s Palette)
in Basic Black, and the new in color, Sweet Sugarplum…making it look like
the spots just climb right up onto the paper. Adding small details like this
can take your card from good to great!

Swirly Scribbles Thinlits are a huge hit …you can see them anywhere
you look at anything Stampin’ Up!  These got a little bent up when
the cat did the slip and slide across my table, but I decided to use
them anyway, there was already distressing on the card, so why not?

The greeting also comes from the new Painter’s Palette stamp set
and is inked in Basic Black, then it’s turned slightly to give it some
movement that compliments the Swirly Scribbles.

Combining elements and techniques makes for a fun and
unique project, try a little mix and match today!
