PPA303 Color Challenge…Loads Of Thanks!

Here comes the latest challenge from the Pals!

For This week’s PPA303 Color Challenge… I chose to use that cute
little wheelbarrow from the “You’re Sublime” stamp set. I’m so happy
to see that this set was carried over from the last catalog, it has five
fun images that are great for filling in with color, and it’s a bit quirky …
which is right up my ally!

What’s better than a bouquet of flowers?
A whole wheelbarrow of flowers, that’s what!

Every garden should have at least one trellis…enter the new Swirly
Scribbles Thinlits, the long curvy piece from this set is turned vertical
to create the perfect garden trellis. You probably won’t see a blue
trellis in every garden, but maybe we’re on to something here, a
little whimsy is always fun.  I wanted the trellis to stand out so it’s colored
using an Aqua Painter and some Night Of Navy ink, and then stamped
with the “splatter” from the new Painter’s Palette stamp set. My question
is …who wouldn’t want to spend time in a garden with a blue trellis?

This week’s challenge serves up an interesting mix of colors,
courtesy of Shawn de Oliveria.

Most of us would never pick this trio of colors, that’s what
makes these challenges fun, it gets you out of your color
comfort zone.

Stretch your color muscles and play this week’s challenge,
go on over to www.palspaperarts.com and add your card…

The Layering Squares Framelits are new to the catalog, for this
card, the scalloped edge version is used to frame the wheelbarrow
full of flowers…think of the possibilities!

Up close you can see that more splatter was added with
Sahara Sand and Mint Macaron behind the trellis for
some details, along with some gold thread and sequins.

Aw, the envelope… I couldn’t resist using that “trellis” again!
I’m not even sure if that piece has a name, but I will probably
always call it a trellis now…it’s in my head like an old song.
It makes for a great look on the back of an envelope,
don’t you think?

Have a fabulous day!

  1. Love you background and sweet details…great coloring too..thanks for joining the Pals color challenge this week!

  2. Adorable thank you card. So smart to add “the trellis” to the envelope. I will be CAS’ing that idea for sure. I call it the waves as it looks like ocean waves to me. The great part about creativity – it can be whatever we want it to be. Thanks for sharing your creativity with the Pals this week.
