Good Morning Inkers…
I’m glad to be back blogging today! After a series of life events,
including a four day stay in the hospital for my daughter, I’m feeling
particularly blessed and happy to be here!
To kick off the day, I’ve decided to get my groove back by making
this simple card for the PPA300 Sketch Challenge.
It doesn’t follow the the sketch exactly, but that’s part of the fun here!
I finally broke down and purchased the set ” Remarkable You “,
it’s been on my list of favorites for quite some time and when I saw
that it was being carried over to the new catalog, I felt I was “justified”
in spending the money for it…hahaha. How many of you “justify” your
your stamping purchases with any lame excuse you can find like I did?
I am truly addicted to this hobby…it really can be a form of therapy!
Here’s the sketch for the challenge this week…it’s from Sandie Conner.
To see all the great projects people are making, and
get inspiration to make your own card using this sketch,
hop on over to www.palspaperarts.com.
After you check out all the great ideas you find over there,
how about adding one of your own cards to the challenge…
you might inspire someone else!
One of the things I’ve been working on is my use of color, for a quick version
of water coloring, I used a marker (the new in-color Sweet Sugarplum)
and an Aqua Painter to get this look. I also squirted water in my hand a
few times (spritzer) and “flicked” it over the flower to get the spotty look.
The envelope for this card is stepped up a notch by adding the
stamped flower in the lower left corner and by adding designer
paper to the flap. Since the Envelope Liner Framelits are on the
retiring list, I’ve been looking for ways to jazz up some of the
envelopes I send out. This is one way you can customize a
Stampin’ Up! pre-made envelope to match the card inside.
Have a fabulous day!
LOOK WHAT’S COMING!!!
Besides my “justified” purchase of the “Remarkable You” stamp
set, I’ve used two new favorites for this card. The new in-color
Sweet Sugarplum and the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper
Pack are from the upcoming catalog and will be available starting
