Swirly Scribbles & Peekaboo Peach Sneak Peek!

Happy Monday Inkers…have you seen them?
I love all the new in-colors coming out in June, but when I was making out
my pre-order (demos get to do that), I really thought that the Dapper Denim
would be my favorite.  Fast forward and I actually have them in my hands,
and the first thing I see looks like orange sherbet!  Say whaaat?

008Swirly Bird Thanks- in Peek A Boo PeachPeekaboo Peach…it absolutely reminds me of the ice cream that I craved
as a child. Swirled with vanilla and put on a stick, I would chase down the ice
cream truck every Saturday with my quarter to get one of those bad boys….
happy memories.

Swirly Bird- PEEKABOO PEACH Sneak Peek! Ink up close Inker's Workshop 2016

Isn’t this ink just luscious… I could eat it up!
It’s so much fun to see all these variations of color from a single ink pad.
Did I mention I love the Peekaboo Peach?

And, that swirly thing, how cute is that?
It’s one of the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, which you can purchase alone or
in a bundle with the Swirly Bird stamp set when the new catty goes live
on June 1st….how fun is that!

Swirly Bird- Peek A Boo Peach Sneak Peek! matching envelope Inker's Workshop 2016
I talked a little about the Envelope Liner Framelits retiring in another post,
and I am sad to see them go, but I’m adjusting and finding new ways to
celebrate the almighty envelope.

Here, I added some great plaid”ish” paper from the Playful Palette
Designer Series Paper Pack (wow…that’s a mouthful !) It’s one of the
many great papers available starting June 1st.

I added one final image from the Swirly Bird set to the back flap,
it’s stamped directly onto the DSP,  the perfect compliment for this
card. If you look close you can also see it peeking from behind the
Swirly Scribbles above.

All of the new in-colors are happy, cheerful colors, and it’s hard
to choose just one….what will your new favorite be?

Have a fabulous day!

    • Suz, I’m so excited to see that you left a comment! I am just loving this Peekaboo Peach color. So glad you like the card, can’t wait til we can get together to stamp!

  1. I just came from Rae’s blog and had to leave a comment! I love this card! This is one card I would love to receive and display! Is the background just sort of freehanded watercolored? I love the look. I am going with the Just Peachy as orange creamsickles make me sick. Orange sherbet is sort of ok but give me peach any day! I am going to have to check out more of your blog! Love the line scribbles on the card length-wise too. The details are just too delectable!

    • Chris, you’re too funny with the peach thing! The background started out by inking an acrylic block with the Peekaboo Peach color, spritzing it with water and pressing it onto the Shimmer paper. It was a little to “square” for my liking, so while it was still wet, I added more ink worked it out from the center to get rid of the square look. After it dried, I squirted some water into the palm of my hand and “flicked” it with my fingers onto the paper. When it dries, it leaves little water spots on the paper. It’s a fun technique, and not hard to get the hang of…it’s just takes a few tries to learn how much water to use, give it a try…it’s like therapy!
Thanks for popping by my blog today Chris!
