Azalea & The Butterfly

Welcome…are you stamping today?

I’m mixing things up today by using some oldies with one very new favorite! The
old (if you’d call it that) being everything except the striped background paper, which
is very new. It’s from the Going Places DSP Stack in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.

Ink and paper, need I say more?

Azalea & Butterfly 2016 Inker's Workshop

I chose Blackberry Bliss for the flower and the butterfly, it pairs beautifully with the
Sahara Sand in the stripes. I will be sad to see BB go away in June, it’s one of my
all time favorite colors from Stampin’ Up!

Using a dauber to color the azalea, I got the uneven look I wanted by simply
applying more pressure in the areas I wanted to appear darker in color. I fussy
cut the flower and mounted it on the black circle, it gives it a nice contrast
to the background design.

Do you have a  favorite coloring technique?

Until next time… Karen
