This card has several fun techniques going on…it was inspired
by a card on Pinterest from Carolyn Bennie. The first few tries weren’t perfect, but
I had a fun day of stamping with a good friend of mine (plenty of giggles included)
and a few tweaks later, this is what it turned into.
- Whisper White Thick card stock is embossed with the new Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, but the debossed side was used for the design.
- The Watercolor Wash Background stamp is inked up with some Sahara Sand and stamped directly on top of the trees. This gives the look of a distressed background, and makes the white trees pop…even though they are actually recessed into the design.
- The top leaf is stamped on Whisper White card stock…in Always Artichoke ink. It’s colored with Blackberry Bliss and more of the Always Artichoke, using Sponge Daubers to blend everything. Both leaves are cut out with the Leaflets Framelits. I think using one solid color leaf underneath (especially a Blackberry Bliss one!), pulls all the color together.
Woo Hoo…love playin’ with the ink!
