These cute little 3×3 cards are perfect to put inside a bouquet of flowers,
or you could punch a hole in the corner and hang them like a tag on a gift.
Acorn 3×3 Trio
These are white on purpose (except the middle one), that way they will go with
a variety of gifts, but you can always customize them before adding the acorns.
These were made a while back, but there are a bunch of 3×3 cards on
Pinterest lately, so I thought I would share them before they’re given away.
These are pretty basic, you cut a piece 3×6 and score it at 3″ so
you can fold it in half for the base of the card.
Take a 6×6 piece of Whisper White Thick card stock and emboss it with the
Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Cut the 6×6 piece into
four pieces and you have three to use for this project and one extra for something
else (think stash here). You could emboss the 3×6 piece to use, but if you want
to stamp on the back of your project, it’s easier to just layer this on the front.
The acorn is stamped with the Acorny Thank You set, heat embossed with gold powder, and cut out with the Acorny Builder Punch. It’s layered over some gold cording trim using some Stampin’ Dimensionals, and some gold sequins were added… just for the fun of it.
Here’s another version, a 2″ circle was punched out of the embossed pieced and layered on top of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (can’t have enough of those!). The cording was switched out for some Metallic Baker’s Twine and tied on top, the embossed acorn is added in the center with…you guessed it, more Stampin’ Dimensionals…surprise!
This one has two acorns… think about making the acorn in the background a solid color, like Blackberry Bliss or something unexpected, that would look great! Hmmm… make have to make a few of those. A smidge of color (Crumb Cake) shows off the texture of the trees here, and a thin gold ribbon ties it all together…get it…ties it together. Ha!
Psst…if your sweetie is going on a trip, think about sneaking one of these
cuties into a suitcase for them to open later….awww.
Until next time… Karen
