Good Morning, Stampers!
When you’re a beginner, making mistakes can be frustrating, but don’t despair…
it’s the perfect time to get creative!
Have you had this happen to you?
Even seasoned stampers are not immune to this one… when your image has spots missing, it can ruin the look of your card, but before you get upset and toss it in the nearest trash can, see if there’s a way to salvage it. First of all, there’s two sides to every piece of card stock, so use it if you have to…simply flip it over, re-ink the image, and stamp again.
Sometimes, it can be salvaged by simply turning the card…and stamping another image.
In this case, the original image was lined up with the upper left corner, so the card was turned and stamped again, lining up the image with the upper left corner… just like the first one. The flowers overlap in the middle, but that’s okay, because now you have a background ready for a layer that will cover everything… and no one will ever know that there’s a mistake underneath! Yay!
The finished card is simple and beautiful…and it looks like you planned it that way!
Until next time…
