Stamp Of The Month: Something Lacy 3

Happy Saturday!

Are you crafting today?

How about a beautiful, simple card that can be used for many different occasions, and it won’t take you all day to get a bunch of them done?  Are you interested?  Check it out!

Something Lacy-Gold Congrats

This card may be simple, but it packs a punch!

Start by using a VersaMark Ink Pad to stamp “Something Lacy” onto some Whisper White card stock.  Using the heat tool, emboss the background with gold powder. Next, stamp and emboss the greeting (congrats) from the “Your Perfect Day” set onto a piece of white vellum card stock, using the same ink and powder.

Trim the greeting into a banner shape,(I think I would trim it closer than the one in the photo, to show more of the gold background stamp). Cut another banner about a quarter inch larger from a piece of gold Foil Sheets, and layer them together. I used the Transfer Layer Sheets on this banner for the layering, if you look closely, you can see the little tiny dots from the glue. If you don’t like the look of that, you might want to try using some glue behind the letters of the greeting so it doesn’t show through the vellum, and ruin the look of the banner.

Trim down the embossed piece of “Something Lacy” to measure 3 3/4″ x 5, and layer it onto a  piece of gold Foil Sheet that’s cut to 4 x 5 1/4″. Adhere this piece to the Whisper White card base with liquid glue and give it a few minutes to set up.  Use some Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the banner and position it on top of the background stamp. For a finishing touch, add one single rhinestone, or more it you like!

Do you like the look of embossing? Would you like to see more of it on projects?
