Good Morning, Stampers!
Got five or ten minutes? That’s all the time you need to make this great “man” card!
I don’t know about you, but masculine cards are not the easiest thing for me to get done! Moon Lake to the rescue! This one is almost a breeze to make… two colors, embossing, ink and some framelits…Yay!
The tree and boat are embossed in white and colored over in Sahara Sand ink. This emboss resist technique really gives a soft, calm appearance to the card, making it a great choice for my Moon Lake “Man” card, or any card for that matter!
Normally, people add a greeting when they make the card, but by leaving the greeting off, the card can be used for whatever you need when the time comes. Simply add your saying, be it a thank you, hello or even a note of sympathy.
*TIP: Mix & Match: Make a set or two of generic cards (like the Moon Lake “Man” Card) that would work for any occasion. Then, using your basic card stock and several different inks, stamp and punch out several types of greetings that you think you may need. Keep the cards and the greetings together in a box (of course, make it a pretty box!), to use when you’re short on time and you need a card in a hurry. Simply pick your card, add the greeting of choice, and TA-DAH…a beautiful card right when you need one!
FYI: Getting a good photo of this card proved to be quite a task! I must have taken 20 or more pics and edited at least 10 of them trying to get the true colors to shine through. Still, I have not done it justice! The card in the photo comes across as grey or even greenish in color…SIGH!!! While my photography skills are still somewhat limited…(no hate mail, please…:)), I’m here to tell you that Sahara Sand and Whisper White are a beautiful color combination, give them a try!
Thanks for stopping by…have a fabulous day!
