Okay, maybe some of you are not happy it’s Monday, but maybe some of you will smile when you see today’s card, Butterfly Imagined.
MIXED BLESSINGS: Butterfly Imagined
This card is the result of a fun day playing with some ink in my workshop. I combined a few things I had in the scrap box (including cardboard), added some fun stamped ribbon, some ink and used an embossed piece of Very Vanilla in the background. Fun!
I usually end up putting everything but the kitchen sink on my projects. I love the distressed, shabby look, it’s my favorite! Lately, though I’ve been challenged to make things more simple in order to keep up with the learning curve I’m currently experiencing. This card lands somewhere in the middle between the shabby look I love and the clean look I’m trying to accomplish. Maybe I should have called it “Meet Me In The Middle”, anyone remember that song? Maybe that’s not the full name..hmmm?
I haven’t spent much time in my workshop lately. No time to play with paper and ink can make a girl a little edgy! I’m spending most of my time learning to use this blog and trying to understand the VERY BASICS of Photoshop! These are no small tasks for someone who only months ago had no idea how to even copy and paste! No lie. I hope over time this will all become MUCH easier and I will be spending much more time in my workshop creating a big mess and throwing some ink around, which is pretty much the reason for all of this craziness! The more time I spend making a mess, the more projects I will have to share with all of you!
I’m still learning, so I may be a little sporadic with posting on here and I might miss a few here and there until I get a little more familiar with things and get some sort of schedule straightened out. There’s a lot going on in the background, so stick with me, don’t give up on me yet. I hope to have some fun stuff going on in the near future, so come back and see what’s happening at Inker’s Workshop!
